ap d'Ail has been classified as a health resort
since 1921. A belvedere the "Dog's Head" hangs
out over the coast providing a view from Italy to the
Var.

Its three kilometers of coastline have attracted many
famous people amongst whom are the Prince of Wales,
the Czarevitch, the Lumiere brothers, Greta Garbo, Sacha
Guirty, Apollinaire, and Cocteau. |

d'Ail has the right to raise the Pavillon Bleu due
to the feanliness of the sea water there. The beaches
along the cliffs are rich in underwater life, both plants
and animals. The port of Cap d'Ail spreads out
over 47,000m2 of water and can give mooring to 253 boats
